You Bring Me Flowers Every Spring…

 

What have I done to deserve fresh flowers every Spring?

Some so fresh, so new, so lovely you would bring

I stop in “awe” at the vibrant colors, newly discovered blooms, and oh, the sweet smells

To remind me of how good, no- how great you are to me- why, oh why, please do tell

And look at you, sometimes delivering fresh flowers in late Winter because you just cannot wait

Yes, showing your creativity and your perfect timing in all that you create

Then my days start anew with the marvelous sunrise that shines upon the flowers in a day

Oh, I want this amazing sunrise to stay all day

Again, another reminder of just how much beauty you want to give to me

Yes, please help me to marvel in awe at all you let me see

Then, you help me find my way back home with the full moon you choose to display

As you whisper, “Always remember, I am never far away”

And the most beautiful part of this love story that my makes my heart cling

Is knowing you could choose to live any place you want, but you choose to live in my heart

Oh, Jesus, I never want us to be far apart
